INFINITY FESTIVAL is where the leading Silicon Valley innovators come together with Hollywood’s leading professional storytellers and take over one city block in the heart of Hollywood. We were tasked with creating a visual concept for this years theme.

This year’s theme for Infinity was the Evolution of Imagination, so we explored a few different high level banding concepts. The one that captivated us was the protocluster. The fluid 3d style shapes are indicatory of evolution and motion. The concept symbolically takes us back to the beginning of time as we know it. The liquidity asymmetrical forms represent ideas being created the world in constant motion.  

Protocluster: In 2006, a multifilamentary structure measuring 200 million light-years in width was announced. Since the densest areas in the universe are thought to be the places where galaxies formed first, this protocluster structure may be one of the earliest to have formed. this structure may reveal when and how the first galaxies formed and could help us better understand how our own galaxy came to be. the structure is a very distant object; the astronomers that discovered it were actually looking at something from 12 billion years ago.
